Vintage Soholm Danish Cat Ceramic Wall Relief

A beautiful piece of Mid Century Danish studio pottery featuring a cat.

Features a glossy crackle glaze with a cute cat design in bright colours.

Designed by Joseph Simon for Soholm Pottery. Has his signature in the top left hand corner and the maker’s mark on the back.

Handmade in Denmark on the Baltic island of Bornholm, in the 1960s/70s.

Excellent vintage condition with only minor signs of age.

Solid and heavy item.

18cm wide by 16cm high and 3cm deep.

Joseph Simon was a highly accomplished, art school trained ceramist. He was born in Hungary and educated at the Academy of Art in Vienna. He worked for Soholm in the late 1960s.
