Soholm Pottery Danish Purple Table Lamp Bedside Vintage 1960s AS
Soholm Pottery Danish Ceramic Table Lamp
Small table lamp with a beautiful rich pecan brown glaze, handmade in Denmark in the 1960s/70s
Features a glossy rich pecan brown and purple glaze with warm toffee, sea green and light blue highlights.
Has an attractive geometric textured relief design on the lower half.
Handmade in Denmark by Soholm on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s.
Has manufacturer's details and designer’s initials (Alex Svendson) etched on its base.
22cm high including the original lamp holder and 12cm wide at its widest part.
Very good fully working vintage condition with a small area of missing glaze as shown in the photo 7.
Rewired with vintage style old gold braided fabric cable and a new switch, retaining its original lamp holder.
We can fit a British/Irish, European*, Aus/NZ plug or American** plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 'Radio Spiral' lightbulb (not included).
** If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. Full details of lampshades can be found under FAQs.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. But unless otherwise stated there will be no chips or similar damage.
