Soholm Pottery Danish Large Ceramic Table Lamp 1960s Vintage Retro
Large Soholm Pottery Danish Ceramic 1960s Table Lamp
Features a dove grey glaze, light blue textured glazed relief pattern and sea green and warm cinnamon brown glazed highlights.
Designed by Noomi Backhausen and Arne Finne, model number 3075. Note that this lamp came in 2 sizes and this is the larger.
Handmade in Denmark by Soholm Pottery on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s. Has artists initials and model number etched on its base.
Fully refurbished with vintage style zinc lampholder and light blue cable that complement the lamp beautifully.
Very good full working vintage condition with only minor signs of age.
It is 33cm high including the zinc lampholder and 22cm wide at its base.
It has been rewired with a vintage style lamp holder and braided fabric cable. It has a British/Irish plug but we can fit a European, Aus/NZ plug or American* plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 'Radio Spiral' lightbulb (not included).
Because it has a metal lamp holder this lamp needs to be fitted with a 3 pin earthed plug. If you live in a country that does not have 3 pin sockets please let us know and we will change the lamp holder to a standard plastic one so that they can be used with a 2 pin socket. Please let me know if you are unsure about this.
* USA option: If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller fully turn it to ensure it makes contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European/UK type & size lampshade with a UNO style ring inner diameter of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. But unless otherwise stated there will be no chips or similar damage. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through. Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
