Soholm Pottery Danish Ceramic Table Lamp Pecan Blue Vintage 1960s Retro Light
Soholm Pottery Danish Ceramic Table Lamp 1960s/70s.
Medium sized Danish handmade table lamp.
Features a rustic unglazed biscuit coloured neck. The lower half is glazed with a textured relief geometric design.
Has a glossy pecan brown glaze with a wide band of inky blue and iridescent sea green, powder blue highlights and warm amber highlights.
Handmade in Denmark by Soholm on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s.
Has manufacturer's details and designer's initials on its base.
26cm high including the original Bakelite lamp holder. 10cm wide at its widest point.
Rewired and in excellent, fully working vintage condition.
Will be rewired with vintage style braided cable and a new switch, retaining the original Bakelite lamp holder.
We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug. Unless you tell us otherwise, we will fit the plug suitable for the country the lamp is sent to.
It takes an E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included).
* In the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using LED/energy saving lightbulbs. E26 bulbs should fit but because they are 1mm smaller you will need to turn the bulb fully to ensure it makes contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with an Uno style ring diameter of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. See FAQs for full details.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK. If you contact her with a picture of the lamp you have bought she will make suggestions on a lampshade to suit it.
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
