Soholm Pottery Danish Ceramic Table Lamp Olive Green Khaki 1970s Vintage Retro Scandinavian
Small Soholm Pottery Danish Ceramic 1970 Table Lamp
Features an olive green glaze with a relief design on the widest part.
Designed by Einar Johansen for Soholm Stentoj.
Handmade in Denmark on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1970s/80s.
Has manufacturer’s details on its base.
Very good full working vintage condition with only minor signs of age.
It is 20cm high including the lampholder and 12cm wide at its widest point.
It has been fully refurbished with vintage look black braided cable and zinc lamp holder. We can fit a British/Irish, European*, Australian/NZ or American** plug.
It takes a B22 lamp, maximum 60w (not included) but we will provide a E26/E27 adapter if you choose the European* or USA** region options. In the photos is a vintage-look LED Filament G95 ‘radio spiral’ bulb (not included).
Because it has a metal lamp holder this lamp needs to be fitted with a 3 pin earthed plug. If you live in a country that does not have 3 pin sockets please let us know and we will change the lamp holder to a standard plastic one so that they can be used with a 2 pin socket. Please let me know if you are unsure about this.
* European option: we will send an adapter so you can use E27 light bulbs, although in Europe you will be able to buy B22 light bulbs online from the UK.
** USA option: we will send an adapter so you can use E26 light bulbs. In the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. This lamp will take a European/UK type & size lampshade with a UNO style ring inner diameter of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or 1 inch (2.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. But unless otherwise stated there will be no chips or similar damage. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through. Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
