Designed by Arne Finne Nielsen for Soholm Pottery.
Handmade in Denmark on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s.
Has its manufacturer’s details and designer's initials glazed on its base.
It is 24cm high including the white Bakelite lamp holder, and 12cm wide at its widest point.
Rewired and in excellent full working vintage condition.
It will be rewired with vintage style braided fabric cable and a new switch, retaining its original Bakelite lamp holder.
We can fit a British/Irish, European*, Aus/NZ plug or American** plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 'Radio Spiral' lightbulb (not included).
** If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. Full details of lampshades can be found under FAQs.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. But unless otherwise stated there will be no chips or similar damage.
