Handmade in Denmark in the 1960s/70s.
Medium sized unusual octagonal shaped lamp.
Features a glossy caramel amber glaze and blue glaze with iridescent light blue highlights.
Model number 1052, designed by Einar Johansen.
Handmade in Denmark by Soholm on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s.
Has manufacturer's details, designer’s mark, and model number imprinted on its base.
24cm high including the original Bakelite lamp holder. 12cm wide at its widest point.
Excellent fully working vintage condition.
The price includes re-wiring with high quality, Italian-made fabric cable and a new plug, replacing old, worn fittings if required. You have the opportunity to choose the cable colour from a choice of black, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold.
The last photo shows it with other lamps available for separate purchase.
___________________________________________________________
It will be rewired with your choice of vintage style braided cable, and a new switch (if applicable), retaining the original Bakelite lamp holder if practicable (let us know if you would prefer a new E27 lamp holder). If you buy more than one lamp we will ensure they are rewired with matching fittings.
We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug. Unless you tell us otherwise, we will fit the plug suitable for the country the lamp is sent to.
It takes an E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included).
* In the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using LED/energy saving lightbulbs. E26 bulbs should fit but because they are 1mm smaller you will need to turn the bulb fully to ensure it makes contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with an Uno style ring diameter of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. See FAQs for full details.

Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
