Soholm Pottery Danish Caramel Purple Table Lamp Bedside Vintage 1960s 1015
Soholm Pottery Danish Ceramic Table Lamp
This is part of a new collection of stock. Because it hasn’t been rewired yet, you have the opportunity to choose the colour of vintage style braided cable you would like it to be rewired with from a choice of black, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold.
Medium sized lamp with a beautiful glaze, handmade in Denmark in the 1960s/70s
Features a glossy warm caramel amber glaze with purple highlights.
Has an attractive lightly textured relief design on the lower half.
Model number 1015.
Handmade in Denmark by Soholm on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s.
Has designer’s mark, manufacturer's details and model number etched on its base.
26cm high including the porcelain lamp holder and 13cm wide at its widest part.
Excellent fully working vintage condition.
Refurbished full working condition retaining its original Bakelite lamp holder.
We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 'Radio Spiral' lightbulb (not included).
* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK. If you contact her with a picture of the lamp you have bought she will make suggestions on a lampshade to suit it.
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
