Soholm Pottery Danish Beige Ceramic Table Lamp Erika 1960s Vintage Retro Scandinavian 3062
Vintage Soholm Pottery Danish Ceramic Table Lamp
Medium sized table lamp, hand painted in neutral, muted tones.
Features a matt mottled beige rustic stoneware base with a hand painted light olive green and warm brown design.
Erika design, model 3062.
Designed by Svend Aage Jensen for Soholm Pottery and hand painted by Noomi Backhausen.
Handmade in Denmark on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s.
Has its manufacturer’s details, designer's initials and model number etched on its base.
It is 29cm high, including the original white lamp holder, and 16cm wide at its widest point.
Excellent full working vintage condition.
It has been rewired with a vintage style brown braided fabric cable.
We can fit a UK/Irish, European, Aus/NZ plug or American* plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 'Radio Spiral' lightbulb (not included).
* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring diameter of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. See FAQs for full details.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
But unless otherwise stated there will be no chips or similar damage. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
