Soholm Pottery Amber Danish Table Lamp Manilla Vintage 1960s Retro Ceramic 3305
Soholm Pottery Danish Blue Ceramic Table Lamp
A beautiful and very special small lamp. Handmade in Denmark in the 1960s/70s
Feature a glossy warm amber/caramel brown glaze with mottled shimmering purple highlights and rings of iridescent powder blue.
The lower half of the lamp features a beautiful and striking textured design that resembles grass.
Model number 3305, part of the Manilla Grass series designed by Svend Aage Jensen for Soholm Stentoj (Pottery).
Handmade in Denmark by Soholm on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s.
Has manufacturer's details and model number etched on the base.
Fully refurbished with vintage look braided cable.
21cm high including the lamp holder. 9.5cm wide at their widest point.
Excellent fully working vintage condition.
Rewired with vintage style braided cable and a new switch.
We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug.
It takes an E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 'Radio Spiral' lightbulb (not included).
* In the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using LED/energy saving lightbulbs. E26 bulbs should fit but because they are 1mm smaller you will need to turn the bulb fully to ensure it makes contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with an Uno style ring diameter of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK. If you contact her with a picture of the lamp you have bought she will make suggestions on a lampshade to suit it.
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
