Soholm Pottery Beige Danish Ceramic Table Lamp

Small handmade vintage Danish lamp.

Has a classic bottle shape and unsual abstract design.

Features a glossy light coloured glaze with olive green and shimmering reddish-brown highlights.

Model 1041, designed by Noomi Backhausen.

Handmade in Bornholm, Denmark in the 1960s/70s.

Has manufacturer’s details and model number mark etched on its base.

22cm high including the lamp holder and 7cm wide.

Very good vintage condition with only minor signs of age.

As this lamp hasn’t been rewired yet, you have the opportunity to choose the colour of vintage style braided cable you would like it to be rewired with from a choice of black, white, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold.

Noomi Backhausen (1938-2011) was a German ceramic artist who joined Soholm in 1966 and worked there for over 20 years.

Will be rewired with high quality Italian vintage style braided fabric cable and a new switch. We will attempt to reuse the original lamp holder where practicable, but may replace it with a modern E27 fitting. If you buy two lamps we will ensure they have matching fittings.

We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug.

* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
