Royal Copenhagen Baca Ceramic Table Lamp Fog & Morup Blue Pottery 1960s Nils Thorsson
Royal Copenhagen Baca Danish Ceramic Table Lamp
This is part of a new collection of stock. Because it hasn’t been rewired yet, you have the opportunity to choose the colour of vintage style braided cable you would like it to be rewired with from a choice of black, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold. This does not affect your statutory right of return.
Medium sized ceramic table lamp made in Denmark in the 1960s/1970s.
Square lamp with a satin mid blue glaze. Has black & brown highlights with a lightly textured design.
Model number 927191, part of the BACA series designed in 1969.
Designed by Nils Thorsson for Royal Copenhagen and Fog & Morup.
Made in Denmark in the late 1960s/early 1970s.
Has manufacturer's details and model number etched on its base.
It will be rewired with vintage look braided cable. Please let us know which colour you would like. Dark brown, dark blue and black will look good with this lamp.
27cm high including the original lamp holder and 9cm wide at the base.
Very good fully working vintage condition with only minor signs of age. Has a small chip to the base (see photos) which doesn't show when it is in use and is factored into the price. The small brown marks over the lamp are part of the pattern.
It will be rewired with vintage style braided fabric cable, retaining its original lamp holder.
We can fit a British/Irish, European*, Aus/NZ plug or American** plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 'Radio Spiral' lightbulb (not included).
** If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. Full details of lampshades can be found under FAQs.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. But unless otherwise stated there will be no chips or similar damage.
Handmade items may have manufacturing imperfections such as bubbles in glass or glazing marks in ceramics which add to the uniqueness of each item.
