Rosice Sklo Union Bullet Lens Glass Vase Rudolf Schrotter 1950s Bohemian Czech Vintage Mid Century Modern Modernist Retro Faceted
Rosice Sklo Union Bullet Lens Blue Glass Vase.
Beautiful muted grey blue colour, not the more common bright ice blue.
Shown with a photo of a Holmegaard Akva blue item for colour comparison purposes.
Designed by Rudolf Schrotter in the 1950s. Model number 914.
Handmade in Czechoslovakia by Sklo Union glassmaker, Rosice.
Made of pressed glass. 15cm tall.
Excellent vintage condition.
Wonderful design that captures the light beautifully through its various facets which is undoubtedly where it got the name Lens, with the alternative name of Bullet to describe its shape.
Rosice was a Czech glass house founded in 1920 which joined the renowned Sklo Union (glass union) in that country in 1965. It ceased production in 1996.
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
