Riihimaki Deep Red Glass Vase Tamara Aladin 1472 Vintage 1960s 1970s Scandinavian Finnish Retro
Vintage Riihimaki Finnish Red Glass Vase.
This is a particularly nice example of this vase with a really deep intenstity of colour.
Hooped glass vase in a beautiful deep red colour.
Red is one of the rarer colours this model is found in.
This is a luscious, tactile vase with a real high quality feel about it. It is our personal favourite Riihimaki vase.
Model number 1472. Designed by Tamara Aladin.
Handmade in Finland by Riihimaki in the period 1965-1975.
20cm tall and 9.5cm wide.
A beautifully solid vase, weighs 750g.
Very good vintage condition only very minor signs of age as shown in the photos. These include some small scratches, a tiny area of roughness on the outer rim, and a manufacturing imperfection on the inner rim that cannot be felt with the finger (see close up photos).
This is an exceptionally beautiful vase and the roughness (thought to also be a manufacturing imperfection) looks worse in the close up photos than to the naked eye where it is only visible on very close inspection.
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
