Riihimaki Finnish Purple Glass Vase.

Superb quality piece of handmade Finnish glass in a timeless, elegant shape.

A solid, surprisingly heavy piece of vintage glass.

Beautiful purple coloured glass, one of Riihimaki's rarer colours.

Designed by Aimo Okkolin, probably in 1959 which is when he produced several similar designs.

Has 'Aimo Okkolin Riihimaki Lasi Oy' etched into its base.

Handmade in Finland, probably in the early 1960s.

23cm high and 7cm wide at its widest part.

Very good vintage condition with no chips and only minor signs of age. Has some surface air bubbles from the handmade manufacturing process, and an imperfection in the glass that looks like a smudge, both of these are around the widest part of the vase.
