Riihimaki Finnish Red Glass Cog Vase 1960s 1970s Vintage
Vintage Riihimaki Red Cog Glass Vase Finnish.
Large striking glass vase with an industrial influenced design.
This vase is in unusually good condition and is a particularly fine example of this model.
Due to its shape it is known as the cog vase.
A real statement piece, these stunning vases are becoming harder to find.
Beautiful intense, deep red colour that varies in shade from very dark red in the lower 'reels' to a lighter, more orangey red at the top.
Handmade in Finland in the 1960s/70s.
This design is usually attributed to Tamara Aladin.
28cm tall and 10cm wide.
Excellent vintage condition with no chips and only very minor signs of age. Has the remnants of the label near the rim (no longer legible).
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
There may also inevitably be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
