Vintage Riihimaki Finnish Red Glass Vase 1960s 1970s

Model number 1516.

Beautiful warm red glass in a cool hooped space age design.

Designed by Tamara Aladin in 1973.

Handmade in Riihimaki, Finland between 1973 and 1976.

20cm tall.

Part of the Tulppaani (Tulip) series.

There were a few variants and this is probably the most sought after because of its funky, space age shape which is very evocative of the atomic era.

Excellent vintage condition with no chips and only very minor signs of age.
