Michael Andersen Pottery Blue Danish Ceramic Table Lamp Marianne Starck 1960s
Vintage Danish Pottery Blue Ceramic Table Lamps
Mid blue and stone/light brown matt glazed ceramic table lamp. Fully refurbished with vintage style fittings that complement it beautifully.
Model number 6096. Designed by Marianne Starck.
Handmade in Denmark by Michael Andersen Pottery on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s. Has the 3 fish maker's mark and country on its base.
30cm high including the vintage style zinc lampholder. 13cm wide at the base. Excellent vintage condition.
Fully working condition. It has been fully refurbished with a vintage style zinc lamp holder and bright blue vintage look braided cable. Has a switch on the cable for ease of use.
We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug. It takes an E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included).
Because it has a metal lamp holder this lamp needs to be fitted with a 3 pin earthed plug. If you live in a country that does not have 3 pin sockets please let us know and we will change the lamp holder to a standard plastic one so that they can be used with a 2 pin socket. Please let me know if you are unsure about this.
* In the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using LED/energy saving lightbulbs. E26 bulbs should fit but because they are 1mm smaller you will need to turn the bulb fully to ensure it makes contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with an Uno style ring diameter of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
