Large Orange Fat Lava Ceramic Table Lamp Huge German Danish Pottery Light 1960s 1970s
Huge Orange Fat Lava Style Pottery Ceramic Table Lamp.
This is part of a new collection of stock. Because it hasn’t been rewired yet, you have the opportunity to choose the colour of vintage style braided cable you would like it to be rewired with from a choice of black, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold.
Very large orange pottery table lamp, probably made in Germany in the 1960s/70s.
Features a glossy bright orange glaze with textured brown highlights in a bird pattern.
The base is a rustic, unglazed espresso brown finish.
Handmade in Germany or possibly Denmark (Frank Keramik of Denmark made similar designs) in the 1960s/70s.
Approximately 52cm high, including the original brown lamp holder, and 17cm wide at the base.
Very good vintage condition with only vminor signs of age.
It will be rewired with a vintage style braided cable, retaining its original lamp holder.
We can fit a British/Irish, European*, Australian/NZ or American* plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). The bulb in the photos is a vintage-look G95 LED Filament bulb.
*If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should fit but because they are 1mm smaller may need to be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring diameter of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
