Arabia Finland Fructus Pottery Charger Serving Plate Platter
Vintage large serving dish in a striking hand painted modernist design.
Bold and attractive abstract ‘Fructus’ fruit design in warm brown, mustard yellow and black with subtle silver highlights.
Designed by Finnish ceramist Gunvor Olin-Grönqvist, whose works feature in museums and galleries across Scandinavia.
This very large, heavy plate has a very elegant, stylised form.
Made by Arabia in Finland between 1960 and 1975.
Has the designer's initials GOG and the painter's initials painted to the base.
34cm (13") wide and 4.5cm deep (1 3/4").
In excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Has some minor signs of age.
