Royal Copenhagen Denmark Thistle Table Lamp - Very large 50cm / 20"
This lamp came in several sizes and this is the largest, it is big enough to be used as a floor lamp.
High quality vintage Danish porcelain lamp.
The design is called Tidsel (Thistle) and features a stylish mid blue graphic on a white porcelain base.
Designed by Kaj Lange, for prestigous Danish lighting company Fog & Morup, in 1963.
Made in Denmark by Royal Copenhagen, in the 1960s.
Has full designers and manufacturer's details on its base.
50cm high, including the original Bakelite lamp holder, and 14cm wide.
Excellent fully working vintage condition.
The price includes re-wiring with high quality, Italian-made fabric cable and a new plug, replacing old, worn fittings if required. You have the opportunity to choose the cable colour from a choice of black, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold.

Will be rewired with high quality vintage style braided cable.
We can fit a British/Irish, European*, Australian/NZ or American* plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included).
*If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should fit but because they are 1mm smaller may need to be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring diameter of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. See FAQs for full details.

Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
