Hornsea Pottery Concept Blue Ceramic Table Lamp 1970s
Stylish Mid Century British Table Lamp in a beautiful shade of mid blue.
This design is found much more frequently in white than in blue.
This design is usually attributed to Martin Hunt in 1976, as part of the prestigous Queensbury Hunt Ceramics Design Studio.
The Concept range of tableware was made between 1977 and 1991 but the lamps were made for a much more limited period and are quite rare.
Concept won a British Design Council award in 1977.
Made in England by Hornsea Pottery in the 1970s/80s.
Has been fully refurbished with a modern Bakelite lampholder and dark blue vintage style fabric cable.
It is 24cm high including the original lamp holder and 15cm wide at its widest point.
Very good fully working vintage condition with just a few small scuffs.

Rewired with vintage style braided fabric cable and a new Bakelite lamp holder.
We can fit a British/Irish, European*, Aus/NZ plug or American** plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included).
** If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. Full details of lampshades can be found under FAQs.

If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK

Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. But unless otherwise stated there will be no chips or similar damage.
There may also be slight differences in colour depending on the device the product is viewed on.
