Holmegaard Princess Danish White Wine Glasses - 3 have original stickers indicating they've never been used.
Set of four 14cm high small glasses. This size is much rarer than the smaller snaps and sherry glasses.
With their sparkling glass, nipped in waist and air bubble in their stems, these gorgeous little glasses are very special.
They were designed for white wine although they take a smaller serving than most modern wine glasses.
They were designed by Danish architect Bent O Severin in 1957 for Danish glass house Kastrup Holmegaard, which carries the Royal Warrant from the Danish Court. They are named ‘Princess’, presumably in honour of the then Danish princess, now Queen, Margrethe.
Would make a wonderful present for any lover of Scandinavian and modernist designs - we guarantee you’ll feel like a Danish Prince or Princess if you sip from these little beauties!
Designed in 1957 and handmade in Denmark in the period 1957-95. In later years of production they were made in collaboration with Royal Copenhagen.
Excellent near mint vintage condition -3 retain their original stickers. Handmade glasses like these do vary and this set is a particularly nice example with a beautiful clarity to the glass and roundness to the rims.
Note that we are specialist sellers, and also collectors of glass, so you can be confident in the thoroughness and accuracy of our descriptions - we aim for our buyers to receive items in the same or better condition than they were expecting, and our reviews should illustrate this.

Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
