Vintage Holmegaard Princess Port/Sherry Glasses - Made in Denmark

Set of four (4) 10.5cm high small glasses. They were designed for port wine or sherry.

With their sparkling glass, nipped in waist and air bubble in their stems, these gorgeous little glasses are very special.

They were designed by Danish architect Bent O Severin in 1957 for Danish glass house Kastrup Holmegaard, which carries the Royal Warrant from the Danish Court.

They are named ‘Princess’, presumably in honour of the then Danish princess, now Queen, Margrethe.

Would make a wonderful present for any lover of Scandinavian and modernist designs - we guarantee you’ll feel like a Danish Prince or Princess as you sip from these little beauties.

Designed in 1957 and handmade in Denmark in the period 1957-95. In later years this range was made in colloboration with Royal Copenhagen.

Excellent vintage condition with no chips and only minor signs of age.
