Holmegaard Danish Blue Glass Table Lamp Fleur 1970s Royal Copenhagen Atomic Era
Holmegaard Blue Glass Danish Table Lamp.
Large elegant lamp in a beautiful shade of mid blue
This large glass lamp incorporates cool 1970s Atomic Era Styling.
Designed by Michael Bang for Holmegaard in 1975 in collaboration with Royal Copenhagen.
The design is called Fleur. It was handmade on the Danish island of Funen between 1975 and 1981.
Approximately 37cm high, including the original lamp holder, and 17cm wide.
Very vintage condition with no chips but minor signs of age including scratches. Has its original stickers.
It is in full working condition and has been rewired, retaining the original lamp holder and switch.
We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included), the light bulb in the photos is a vintage-look LED Filament G95 ‘radio spiral’.
*If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they need to be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring diameter of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
