Holmegaard Danish Black & White Glass Lamp 1970s

Medium/large unusual and stylish vintage glass table lamp.

The design is called ‘Symmetrisk’ and features an abstract black design on traditional Nordic white glass which is called ‘Opal’.

Designed by Michael Bang in 1972 for Holmegaard.

Handmade by Holmegaard on the Danish island of Funen in the 1970s.

Approximately 27cm high including, the original lamp holder, and 16cm wide at its base.

Excellent near mint fully working vintage condition with original sticker on its base. The only signs of age seems to be to the metal part.

The last photo shows it with other Holmegaard glass lamps, available for separate purchase.

It will be rewired with white plastic cable and a new switch on the cable.

We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug.

It takes a E27 bulb, maximum 60w (not included).

*If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they need to be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting.

Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.

There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through. Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
