COMING SOON - AVAILABLE NOW FOR PRE-ORDER
This is part of a new collection of stock that will be available at the end of September.
Because it hasn’t been rewired yet, you have the opportunity to choose the colour of vintage style braided cable you would like it to be rewired with from a choice of black, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold.
Vintage Danish Pottery Ceramic Table Lamp.
Medium sized orange studio pottery table lamp made in Denmark in the 1960s.
Features a smooth, glossy orange glaze with black highlights. The black base is smooth satin glazed with a ring of blueish highlights.
Designed by Ernst Nilsson for Faxe Pottery. Has the manufacturer’s details on its base.
Handmade in Denmark in the 1960s/70s.
Excellent vintage condition with only very minor signs of age.
Approximately 32cm high, including the original brown Bakelite lamp holder, and 14cm wide at the base.
It will be rewired with a vintage style braided cable, retaining its original Bakelite lampholder.
We can fit a British/Irish, European*, Australian/NZ or American* plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). The bulb in the photos is a vintage-look G95 LED Filament bulb.
*If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should fit but because they are 1mm smaller may need to be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring diameter of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
