Dansk Designs Quistgaard Candle Tree Holder Danish Iron 1950s

Original and authentic Quistgaard-designed Dansk iron Candle Tree.

The stunning and iconic Candle Tree was one of Jens Harald Quistgaard’s early designs when he joined Dansk Designs in the 1950s.

Quistgaard trained as a silversmith and cast iron was his favourite material to work with.

Made in Denmark in the 1950s/60s.

It has ‘Dansk Designs JHQ Denmark’ written on its base.

The top easily unscrews to enable the arms to be moved in a number of different ways as shown in the photos.

It is approximately 49cm tall and 15cm wide. It weighs 1.6kg (over 2kg packed).

It is in very good fully functional vintage condition with a beautiful rich patina including areas of tarnish and rust as shown in the photos.

It takes 7 candles 1/2 inch (approximately 10/11cm) wide, which are available online. (The candles in the photos are not included, they cost £6 on EBay).

We may disassemble the Candle Tree to facilitate packing and posting. It will take a few minutes to easily reassemble without the need for any tools and involves the same process necessary to change to the position of the arms.
