Vintage Dansk Designs Silver Plated Paperweight.

Excellent vintage condition with only very minor signs of age. This cat is in particularly good condition.

In its original box which is in very good condition with just a few signs of age.

Designed by award winning Swedish silversmith, Gunnar Cyren, for Dansk Designs in the early 1970s.

Made in Japan of silver-plated zinc in the 1970s/80s.

Has ‘Dansk Designs, Japan’ on its base plus EPZ signifying its manufacturing technique of electro-plated zinc, a technology that the Japanese led the world in at the time.

As well as looking great, these paperweights are extremely tactile and have a real quality feel about them.

Dansk Designs was started in the 1950s by an American who toured Europe seeking out talented designers to produce a range of homewares he could sell to the US market. The range was designed to showcase Scandinavian design to an international audience and due to their wonderful combination of form and function Dansk Design items have become highly collectible including in their ‘home country’ of Denmark.
