Danish Pottery Grey Blue Ceramic Table Lamp Michael Andersen Vintage Lighting 1960s
Danish Grey Blue Ceramic Pottery Table Lamp
Small studio pottery table lamp, handmade in Denmark in the 1960s.
Features an unusual glossy grey tweed-like glaze with navy blue and brown highlights.
Made by Michael Andersen Ceramic Studio on the Baltic island of Bornholm, in the 1960s.
It has Michael Andersen's three fish logo and model number etched on its base.
It is approximately 22cm high, including the original white Bakelite lamp holder, and approximately 12cm wide at its widest point.
Excellent fully working vintage condition with only very minor signs of age.
It has been rewired with a blue vintage look cable. We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ plug or American* plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). The bulb in the photos is a vintage-look G95 LED Filament bulb.
*USA Option: If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should fit but because they are 1mm smaller may need to be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European/UK type & size lampshade with a UNO style inner ring diameter of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
A note on lampshades. If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
