Soholm Pottery Danish Petrol Blue Ceramic Table Lamp

Medium-sized blue ceramic table lamp, handmade in Denmark in the 1960s/70s

Features a glossy greenish blue glaze with a subtle textured relief design.

Model number 1218, probably designed by Arne Finne.

Made in Denmark by Soholm Stentoj (Pottery) on the Baltic island of Bornholm.

Has manufacturer’s details and model number imprinted on its base.

25cm high including the lamp holder and 17cm wide at its widest part.

Excellent vintage condition with only very minor signs of age.

The price includes re-wiring with high quality, Italian-made fabric cable and a new plug, replacing old, worn fittings if required. You have the opportunity to choose the cable colour from a choice of black, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold.

It will be rewired with vintage style braided fabric cable, a new switch and lamp holder.

We can fit a British/Irish, European*, Aus/NZ plug or American** plug.

It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included).

** If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. Full details of lampshades can be found under FAQs.

Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.

There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.

Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
