Soholm Pottery Danish Blue Pecan Table Lamp 3303 Bedside Maria Philippi Vintage 1960s
Soholm Pottery Danish Ceramic Table Lamp
This is part of a new collection of stock. Because it hasn’t been rewired yet, you have the opportunity to choose the colour of vintage style braided cable you would like it to be rewired with from a choice of black, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold.
Stunning small lamp with a beautiful shimmering glaze, handmade in Denmark in the 1960s/70s
Has a rustic unglazed biscuit neck and glazed lower half with shimmering highlights and a textured pattern.
The lower half features a beautiful glossy warm pecan brown glaze with iridescent light blue, shimmering sea green, and mottled amber highlights in a geometric relief design.
Model number 3033, designed by Maria Philippi.
Handmade in Denmark by Soholm on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s.
Has designer’s initials, manufacturer's details and model number etched on its base.
23cm high including the original lamp holder and 12cm wide at its base.
Very good fully working vintage condition. Has a small crack in the base, probably done during the manufacturing process when the cable hole was drilled. This is very minor, does not affect the lamp, cannot be seen when it is in use, and has been factored into the price.
Will be rewired with vintage style braided fabric cable, retaining its original lamp holder and switch.
We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug.
It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). In the photos is a vintage style LED Filament G95 'Radio Spiral' lightbulb (not included).
* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK. If you contact her with a picture of the lamp you have bought she will make suggestions on a lampshade to suit it.
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
