Vintage Bing & Grondahl Danish Ceramic Butter Dish
Lidded butter dish with an absolutely beautiful design.
Features a smooth greyish glazed base with shimmering purple, bronze and blue highlights that create a petrol/gas on water like effect.
'Mexico' design, designed by Jens Harald Quistgaard.
Made by Bing & Grondahl in Copenhagen, Denmark in the 1960s/70s.
Excellent vintage condition with no chips.
Bing and Grondahl began producing porcelain in Copenhagen in 1853 and continued until the company was acquired by, and merged with, Royal Copenhagen in 1987.
