Vintage Bing & Grondahl Danish Tema Ceramic Teapot

Large 1960s kettle style teapot with an absolutely beautiful design.

The metal handle is a particularly unusual and stylish element of the design.

Features a smooth greyish glazed base with shimmering blue, green and amber highlights that create a petrol/gas on water like effect.

The attractively-shaped handle is made from black coloured metal.

Designed by Jens Harald Quistgaard.

Made by Bing & Grondahl in Copenhagen, Denmark in the 1960s/70s.

Large size. Approximately 20cm high and 23cm wide.

Holds around 1.25 litres.

Excellent vintage condition with no chips.

This is designed to have hot water poured into it, and not to have direct contact with a heat source.

Bing and Grondahl began producing porcelain in Copenhagen in 1853 and continued until the company was acquired by, and merged with, Royal Copenhagen in 1987.

Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.

There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.

Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
