Soholm Blue Granite Danish Table Lamp 1960s Retro Light 3329
Soholm Pottery Danish Blue Ceramic Table Lamp
This is part of a new collection of stock. Because it hasn’t been rewired yet, you have the opportunity to choose the colour of vintage style braided cable you would like it to be rewired with from a choice of black, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange and old gold.
Dark blue, dark brown and old gold cable will all look good with this lamp.
Small oval shaped blue lamp, handmade in Denmark in the 1960s/70s
Features a beautiful glossy dark blue glaze with lighter blue and bronze highlights and a textured relief design.
Designed by Einar Johansen as part of the Blu Granit Series.
Handmade in Denmark by Soholm on the Baltic island of Bornholm in the 1960s/70s.
Has manufacturer's details, designer’s mark, and model number etched on its base.
19cm high including the original lamp holder. The oval base is 9cm by 7cm wide.
Excellent vintage condition with only very minor signs of age.
Will be rewired with vintage style braided fabric cable, retaining the original lamp holder and using a new switch.
We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American* plug.
It currently has a E14 lamp fitting but we will change this to an E27 fitting.
* If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb.
If you would like to buy a lampshade to accompany your lamp we recommend the wonderful handmade lampshades utilising vintage fabrics by Dawn Witty - you can find her designs here: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WittyDawnUK. If you contact her with a picture of the lamp you have bought she will make suggestions on a lampshade to suit it.
Note that we have attempted to show and state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item and some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected.
There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens and the device the image is viewed through.
Handmade items may have slight imperfections, such as air bubbles in glass, which add to their uniqueness and charm.
