Dansk Designs Silver Plated Cow Paperweight.

Excellent vintage condition with only minor signs of age.

Comes in its original presentation box and black velvet pouch.

These cute paperweights are made of silver-plated zinc.

Most of this range was designed by award-winning Swedish silversmith, Gunnar Cyren, in the early 1970s.

Made in Japan for Dansk Designs in the 1970s/80s.

They have ‘Dansk Designs, Japan’ on its base plus EPZ signifying its manufacturing technique of electro-plated zinc, a technology that the Japanese led the world in at the time.

As well as looking great, these paperweights are extremely tactile and have a real quality feel about them.

They would make a wonderful gift.

Dansk Designs was started in the 1950s by an American who toured Europe seeking out talented designers to produce a range of homewares he could sell to the US market. The range was designed to showcase Scandinavian design to an international audience and due to their wonderful combination of form and function Dansk Design items have become highly collectible including in their ‘home country’ of Denmark.
